1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form, book a call, or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your mobile or business phone number
• Your company name and the area you serve
• Business details you choose to share, such as approximate annual revenue, average job size, and where your work currently comes from
• Anything else you write in a message or tell us on a call

You choose what to give us. If you leave a field blank, we don't have it.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our providers may automatically collect:

• IP address and general location (typically city or region, not street level)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and links or buttons clicked
• The website, ad, or link that referred you to us
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8)

Information from advertising platforms

If you reach us through an ad on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may pass us limited information about that interaction, such as which ad or campaign a click or form submission came from. We do not receive your Meta account password or the contents of your Meta account.

• Qualify whether our services are a fit for your business
• Schedule, confirm, and remind you about calls and appointments
• Send you information about our services, including follow-up emails and text messages you have agreed to receive

3. Text messaging (SMS) and mobile information

Program description

JW Media operates a text messaging program for people who request information about our services. If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may send you appointment scheduling and confirmation messages, appointment reminders, replies to questions you have asked, and follow-up messages about the services you inquired about.

How we obtain consent

We obtain your express written consent to send text messages when you voluntarily provide your mobile number and affirmatively opt in on one of our web forms, or when you provide your number and agree to be contacted by text during a phone call or conversation with us. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise acquire phone numbers from third parties for text messaging.

Consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out and get help

You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and will not send further text messages unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us at [email protected] or (616) 240-5174.

Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of email, and does not affect any other service you receive from us.

4. Email

If you give us your email address, we may email you about your inquiry, your scheduled call, and our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email; we may still send transactional messages related to an appointment you booked or a service you are using.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it.

We use third-party companies to run our business, and they process information on our behalf under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

Legal reasons

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of JW Media, our clients, or others.

Business transfers

If JW Media is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

6. Advertising and measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use the Meta Pixel and similar tools on the Site to understand which ads lead to inquiries.

These tools may use cookies and similar technologies to record that you visited a page or took an action such as submitting a form. That information may be associated with your Meta account by Meta and may be used to show you our ads again, or to build audiences of people similar to our visitors.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, generally for as long as you are a prospect or client and for a reasonable period afterward, and then for as long as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See Section 10.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and measure advertising.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if you block them.

We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for how to interpret them.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we work with established providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Whatever state or country you are in, you can:

• Opt out of marketing email — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us
• Opt out of text messages — reply STOP to any message
• Ask what we have — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct it — ask us to fix anything inaccurate
• Delete it — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we are required to keep

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know the categories of personal information collected and disclosed, the right to opt out of “sales” or “sharing” of personal information, and the right to appeal a denied request. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under those laws. 11. Links to other sites

The Site may link to websites we do not operate, such as a booking page, a form provider, or a social media profile. This policy does not cover those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Where your information is processed

JW Media is based in the United States, and our providers process information in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
